May in one word - feisty.

Born: Dec 10, 1974

May grew up in Billings, MT. Excelling in school, her love was ski racing. She raced for Silver Run and at Rocky Mountain college. May also ran cross country, played softball and violin. She majored in Math at Montana State University, taking no less than 8 semesters of calculus - can you say "glutton for punishment?" She actually loved it, and probably found it easier than her other adopted major, French. It was that and her love for adventure that lead her to study her final year overseas in Montpellier, France.

Done with school May worked as a computer programmer for Minnesota Life in St. Paul, unaware that life was about to deal her an enormous change - motherhood. Silas and Efrem are now the beneficiaries of May's many gifts and talents. She's an incredible mom, and the glue that keeps the Workman Rumpus from spinning into utter disarray. Her strong willed battle with entropy is renown in our house, and it's a wonderful place because of it!

Silas in one word - imaginative

Born: Jan 11, 2001

Silas is an amazing boy. His many talents include playing marbles, memorizing Pokémon facts, thinking deep thoughts beneath his long straight hair, and playing violin.  If you want to see a recital on YouTube – click here.  Silas is reserved and thoughtful.  His only fault is that he’s not a big fan of desserts, which his father really doesn’t understand.  Silas loves to watch tv and movies.  The only problem is that his parents don’t have a tv.  Silas goes to French school, and speaks just like a native.  He's taking a tennis class and also archery, which he's really excited about.

Efrem in one word - spunky

Born: Mar 7, 2004

Efrem has already embraced the role of the younger sibling, pestering his older brother.  But mom is always on his mind.  It’s common to see him stopping along the way home to pick a flower from the grass to give to mommy.  He notices and appreciates those details, and he’s very self conscious.  His mop of curly hair frames those cute brown eyes perfectly.  Efrem runs everywhere he goes and his volume knob is stuck on max.  He loves all the things his brother does, of course, but is also a big fan of Spiderman.  Efrem goes to Judo, which is a good fit for him.  Efrem has made a number of contributions to our Quote Board.

Dan in one word - just Dan

Born: Jan 17, 1974

Dan also grew up in Billings, MT. Baseball was his sport. He also played the piano, then took up guitar later on. Dan loves to draw, though all of his drawings seem to look like him! One of his dreams has always been to have a syndicated comic strip. His biggest obstacle is that he's just not funny! Now his dream is to play bass guitar in a band.  Dan majored in mechanical engineering at Montana State University. This is helpful when repairing broken toys or assembling a sandbox. He worked three years for Accenture doing computer consulting, then jumped into French campus ministry.
